The DB Trailblazers team is out on the trails, building and maintaining custom private trail systems and back country hang out spaces throughout Grey County, Ontario.

The properties we work on range from 1 acre to over 200 acres, creating exciting experiences for our clients by carving adventure into the landscape.
 

We ATV and hike in to access backcountry locations using a mix of hand tools and machinery.
The right candidates are physically fit.  This is a fun and physical job requiring stamina and strength in wild terrain. Must be able to lift 50+lbs and move on your feet for 8 - 9 hour days. This can be heavy work cutting and clearing trees, moving rocks & soil, and hiking with tools to reach remote areas.
Your own vehicle and valid drivers licence is required and all candidates need to live and be willing to travel within Grey County.
Gloves and Steel Toe workboots with a heavy hiking tread are a must. We provide a high end safety helmet and eye protection. 

Experience and confidence (or the willingness to learn), with chain and brush saws is a huge bonus as these are some of our most used tools. Mcleods (fire rakes), pole saws, and hedge trimmers are in regular rotation and on the heavier end we utilize excavators, tractors, skid steers, tampers, etc depending on the requirements of the project.

We work outside in all safe conditions. This can mean hot in the summer and wet when it's raining. The right team members for the job enjoy the outdoors and can thrive in a variety of backcountry conditions.

Our schedule is governed by the weather and other factors - each week the hours can be varied. This is a part time position offering 3 - 5 days per week with a mix of on trail work as well as tool and machine maintenance, cleaning, and prep work at our barn/base of operations just outside of Walter's Falls. For candidates with exceptional office and client care experience, additional hours and opportunities may be available. 

This is a stable and growing company with room to grow. We have a roster of yearly clients and are consistently booked months ahead for new build projects.

TEAM LEAD
position starting wage is $27 - $35+ per hour, based on experience and skills.
Looking to pay more for more.

The person stepping up to this position will be assisting the owners Andrew and Alexis in heading up projects and guiding the Trail Team in building dreams in to plans and plans into reality. The right candidate has experience leading a team and keeping on task, is thoughtful and efficient in their approach, holds safety and integrity in high regard, leads by example and with intention, and is looking to build a career over the long term.

This person has experience with:

- Forestry , Landscaping, Trailbuilding, or similar past experience
- hand tools and large machinery

- heading up a team

- leading projects from planning to implementation 

- driving trucks, trailers and other machinery

- strong communication skills and work ethic

TRAIL BUILDER - LABOURER
position starts at $23+ per hour, based on experience and skills
1 - 2 positions for trail builders to join our team.
The right candidates are hard workers who enjoy the outdoors.

Starting wage is based on your skill set and we are happy to train dedicated applicants looking to stay on board over the long term.
